A collision led to Ulvöhamn getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Axel Axelsson hit a great ball. The corner led Öxabäck's Alvar Uggstedt to fire away a dangerous shot which Per Rosin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Per Rosin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Colin in the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Ulvöhamn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Malm to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ulvöhamn's Per Rosin got control of the ball when Jan-Olof Hägert tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 played minutes Öxabäck got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Olof Hägert. 16 minutes into the match, Ulvöhamn's Thor Bivall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Oskar Bokelund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Ulvöhamn's Thor Bivall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven-Oskar Bokelund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a little luck, Ulvöhamn's Per Rosin got control of the ball when Jan-Olof Hägert tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Olof Hägert got free with Per Rosin in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thor Bivall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sven-Oskar Bokelund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Öxabäck's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Per Rosin came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Öxabäck's Jon Abrahamsson. But to his dismay, Jon Abrahamsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Tord Trulsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gert Colin to strike the kick off in the second half. Roger Wickander had several of the Öxabäck's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Sven-Oskar Bokelund as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Jan-Olof Hägert came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Öxabäck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Olof Hägert couldn't finish the play. In the 64th match minute, Öxabäck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Olof Malmberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Tord Trulsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Oskar Bokelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per Rosin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Abrahamsson in the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Ulvöhamn's Tord Trulsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Tord Trulsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven-Oskar Bokelund having to make a save. Sven-Oskar Bokelund came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ulvöhamn's Roger Wickander. But to his dismay, Roger Wickander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Tord Trulsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Roger Wickander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Oskar Bokelund having to interfere. Öxabäck's Sven-Oskar Bokelund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Öxabäck from getting a goal against them.
