After 19 minutes, Michael Åström made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. EttFyra IF's Ted Strandberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. EttFyra IF's Jesper Ahlgren got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 played minutes, Stavsudda IK's Bengt Brander shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ted Strandberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stavsudda IK reached it. 44 minutes into the match, EttFyra IF's goal looked a bit too open when David Pihlwall came free, but Ted Strandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Helge Viklund made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roger Hegg during the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in EttFyra IF's zone, David Pihlwall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ted Strandberg came out of the goal and David Pihlwall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, EttFyra IF's goal looked a bit too open when Helge Viklund came free, but Ted Strandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helge Viklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Strandberg having to make a save. In the 89th minute, David Pihlwall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl Tönnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrik Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jesper Ahlgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl Tönnberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. If Elliott Stenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stavsudda IK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
