With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nils-Emil Zander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils-Emil Zander had great luck who in the 10thth minute grab hold of the ball when Kenneth Gustafsson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Östen Dusets short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Nils-Emil Zander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 12 played minutes Björbo RK got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Ekström. Sonny Ekström charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sonny Ekström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sonny Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. When Kenneth Gustafsson came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Empo IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Gustafsson couldn't finish the play. After having played for 25 minutes, Kenneth Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Empo IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenneth Gustafsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Björbo RK getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sonny Ekström hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Kenneth Gustafsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nils-Emil Zander. The goal made the score 1-0. Östen Duset could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Nils-Emil Zander made a huge save. Nils-Emil Zander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Per-Oskar Danielsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Björbo RK's Nils-Emil Zander did a great save. After 40 played minutes Björbo RK got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Ekgren. Nils-Emil Zander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Gustafsson in the 41st minute of play. With a little luck, Björbo RK's Nils-Emil Zander got control of the ball when Östen Duset tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute, Per-Oskar Danielsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Empo IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfred Dalström during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Alfred Dalström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kenneth Gustafsson to make the kick off. Empo IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Östen Duset was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Viktor Ekgren was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Kenneth Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Empo IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenneth Gustafsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Emil Zander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Björbo RK's Nils-Emil Zander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Östen Duset in the 91st minute of play. During the 92nd minute of the match Sonny Ekström completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sonny Ekström a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 93rd minute, Sonny Ekström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Östen Duset made a precise shot to the right of Nils-Emil Zander. Björbo RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Empo IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
