FC Hashem's Per-Åke Anselius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hashem from getting a goal against them. Per-Åke Anselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Lind in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Billy Larsson in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Springfält saved Hammarby IF from getting behind. The supporters of Hammarby IF booed when FC Hashem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Olof Apelquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hammarby IF's Ingvar Backman got a free kick in the 20th minute. Per-Åke Anselius was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thomas Lind showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. After 30 minutes, Jonatan Hedvall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammarby IF and the FC Hashem players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hammarby IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Hashem the free kick. It was beautiful to see FC Hashem's Per-Olof Apelquist in action when he in the 36th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When Billy Larsson came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the FC Hashem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Larsson couldn't finish the play. If Billy Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jan-Ove Trulsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hashem's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Ove Trulsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Springfält breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Larsson came free, but Tommy Springfält reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Hashem's Billy Larsson got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurt Nilsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingvar Backman in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Åke Anselius saved FC Hashem from getting behind. FC Hashem's Per-Åke Anselius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicklas Månsson in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Larsson in the 67th minute of play forced Hammarby IF's goalkeeper Tommy Springfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of FC Hashem booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Lind didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Johnny Strömberg in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Hashem's Arman Fagerberg. In the 71st minute, Tom Löfdahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute of the match Jonas Ekgren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Springfält skillfully saved the ball. Per-Åke Anselius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Nilsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th match minute, FC Hashem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Olof Apelquist to maneuver through the defense. Per-Åke Anselius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Backman in the 81st minute of the match. Per-Åke Anselius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Lind, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
