In the 3rd match minute, Grimsås IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Sigman to maneuver through the defense. Osvald Hernström hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Sverker Jonsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Filipstad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Filipstad's Kaj Hedbom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Filipstad from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute Pontus Falkrans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Palm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Filipstad's Ronny Wallin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ronny Wallin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Filipstad protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ronny Wallin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Filipstad's Ronny Wallin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Torsten Hansson didn't quite understand what happened when in the 23 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Alexander Göransson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Kaj Hedbom skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Grimsås IFK booed when Filipstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ola Nilsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Filipstad getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Allan Kielberg hit a great ball. Morgan Kiempe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Kaj Hedbom made a huge save. Alexander Göransson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Filipstad's Pontus Falkrans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georg Palm made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Pontus Falkrans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Palm having to interfere. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Filipstad's goalkeeper Kaj Hedbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Grimsås IFK booed when Filipstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pontus Falkrans didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Filipstad were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

From close distance Pontus Falkrans pressed in the 0-3 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 52 minutes into the game. When Hannes Strandberg fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Filipstad's protests and gave Hannes Strandberg a yellow card for diving instead. Pontus Falkrans came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Georg Palm could save by the left post. Pontus Falkrans hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Alexander Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Grimsås IFK's Georg Palm got control of the ball when Pontus Falkrans tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Grimsås IFK booed when Filipstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvald Hernström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Georg Palm came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Filipstad's Pontus Falkrans. But to his dismay, Pontus Falkrans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Filipstad's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
