The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Söderala FF's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Åström came free, but Sven-Ove Brandin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivar Dahlbom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven-Ove Brandin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Söderala FF got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Hammarberg. After the first half Fredrika IK were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sven-Ove Brandin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wiktor Lidberg in the 57th minute. Fredrika IK's Wictor Willig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Fredriksson in the 59th minute of play. Sakarias Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Eddie Nordlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Lidberg in the 81st minute of play forced Söderala FF's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Brandin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Söderala FF's zone, Wiktor Lidberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Ove Brandin came out of the goal and Wiktor Lidberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivar Dahlbom's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sven-Ove Brandin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ivar Dahlbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Sven-Ove Brandin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredrika IK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
