Peter Bergström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 11 played minutes Stora Höga IK got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Oskar Sjö. Daniel Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Stora Höga IK's goalkeeper Göran Strömbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ercole Faccio. Eddie Broman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 20th playminute. After a rather tough play, Stora Höga IK's Helge Kielstedt got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute Eddie Broman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Strömbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Göran Strömbom came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Slöfockarna United's Ercole Faccio. But to his dismay, Ercole Faccio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The audience was convinced that Ercole Faccio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göran Strömbom was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. With a little luck, Stora Höga IK's Göran Strömbom got control of the ball when Ercole Faccio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Göran Strömbom made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Ercole Faccio sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Stora Höga IK getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Einar Sörman hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the game, Ercole Faccio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Göran Strömbom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 47 in the game by Ercole Faccio from a close distance when the talented Göran Strömbom managed to make a qualified save. Stora Höga IK's players were relieved. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ingvar Danielsson made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Slöfockarna United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Einar Sörman was slow to take the kick. During this time Stora Höga IK's players had a chance to rest. Göran Strömbom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ercole Faccio went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 59 minutes into the match, Eddie Broman notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Stora Höga IK's Göran Strömbom. Göran Strömbom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Göran Strömbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddie Broman, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. But to his dismay, Ercole Faccio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. After having played for 82 minutes, Ingvar Danielsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stora Höga IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Danielsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ercole Faccio struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Göran Strömbom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Slöfockarna United. Göran Strömbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ercole Faccio in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Broman in the 95th minute of play forced Stora Höga IK's goalkeeper Göran Strömbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Slöfockarna United fully deserved thier win.
