The supporters of River Park booed when Askersund FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Brovall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Askersund FF's Mattias Granberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Staffan Sundberg in the 6th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Staffan Sundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Granberg was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Urban Brovall hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Arman Ödman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Askersund FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arman Ödman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sten Vacker kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Adriana Claris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The River Park fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when River Park's Staffan Sundberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to River Park getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Oskar Grabski hit a great ball. Johan Billock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Norström in the 20th minute of play. If Staffan Sundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Staffan Sundberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th match minute, Askersund FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Bergström to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, River Park's Kim Sundberg got a free kick in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, River Park's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Pedersson came free, but Johan Billock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johan Billock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Pedersson in the 35th minute of play. Johan Billock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Bergström in the 37th minute of the match. When Staffan Sundberg came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the River Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Staffan Sundberg couldn't finish the play. Adriana Claris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Mattias Granberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Staffan Sundberg in the 87th minute of the match. Bengt-Rune Pedersson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johan Billock came out and tried to block the shot, but Bengt-Rune Pedersson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 89th minute. With an all-out effort, Askersund FF's Johan Billock threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bengt-Rune Pedersson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Staffan Sundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Mattias Granberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Askersund FF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
