In the 3rd minute, Mathias Arvidsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bo Bäckman made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Crvena Zvezda's Knut Wahlnäs. In the 6th minute Yngve Hammarbäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Algot Dahlman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Crvena Zvezda's Gradiša Dragović got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Crvena Zvezda's Ragnar Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Bryngelsson in the 24th minute of play. Ragnar Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slawomir Cieslak in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Risögrund RK's Algot Dahlman got control of the ball when Michael Siggesson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Crvena Zvezda's zone, Vuksan Basta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ragnar Mårtensson came out of the goal and Vuksan Basta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ragnar Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dick Bryngelsson in the 36th minute of play. Slawomir Cieslak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michael Siggesson was the one to do the kick off. Algot Dahlman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Hammarbäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dick Bryngelsson fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Risögrund RK's protests and gave Dick Bryngelsson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Risögrund RK getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Dick Bryngelsson hit a great ball. Ragnar Mårtensson made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Slawomir Cieslak sent off a good shot on target. Mathias Arvidsson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 62nd playminute. 65 minutes into the match, Yngve Hammarbäck notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Risögrund RK's Algot Dahlman. Algot Dahlman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute, Bengt-Rune Jonasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes Crvena Zvezda got a freekick which was hit by Michael Siggesson. A collision led to Risögrund RK getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Slawomir Cieslak hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Yngve Hammarbäck notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Risögrund RK's Algot Dahlman. Algot Dahlman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Dick Bryngelsson took a quick shot and it went in 3-5 without a chance for Ragnar Mårtensson to make any attempt to save it. 87 minutes into the game, Börge Termander threw the ball into play from the sideline. Risögrund RK's Ralf Fransson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ragnar Mårtensson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Slawomir Cieslak went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-6 was the resulting score. Risögrund RK played a much better game than Crvena Zvezda and deserved their victory. The Crvena Zvezda players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
