A collision led to Markaryd getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Torsten Lenberg hit a great ball. If Michael Siggesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Siggesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yngve Hammarbäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Folke Dalberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Crvena Zvezda's Yngve Hammarbäck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Folke Dalberg. Folke Dalberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Michael Siggesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Dalberg having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michael Siggesson to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Crvena Zvezda getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Daniel Stenquist hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Patrik Ahlrot sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ragnar Mårtensson threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Patrik Ahlrot this time. In the 57th minute, Yngve Hammarbäck made a precise shot to the right of Folke Dalberg. Markaryd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 63 minutes into the match, Markaryd's goal looked a bit too open when Yngve Hammarbäck came free, but Folke Dalberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes of play Markaryd's Torsten Lenberg was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Markaryd getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Torsten Lenberg hit a great ball. When Yngve Hammarbäck came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Crvena Zvezda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yngve Hammarbäck couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yngve Hammarbäck in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folke Dalberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Yngve Hammarbäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Bengt-Åke Ek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Crvena Zvezda's Yngve Hammarbäck in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Markaryd's goalie prevented a goal. Yngve Hammarbäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Folke Dalberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Siggesson in the 95th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Markaryd's zone, Michael Siggesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Dalberg came out of the goal and Michael Siggesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
