Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Östen Alfors started the match with the kick off. After having played for 2 minutes, Sven-Olof Thidén managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arvika BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven-Olof Thidén was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Arvika BK booed when Vrigstad FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Hermansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Harry Lind fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arvika BK's protests and gave Harry Lind a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vrigstad FF booed when Arvika BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Lind didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunnar Brander hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9thth minute of the game Östen Alfors who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arvika BK's Pontus Uggstedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Vrigstad FF's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Olof Thidén came free, but Olle Brandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vrigstad FF's Stig Gerdberg in 13 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Pontus Uggstedt guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Harry Lind's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olle Brandt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Vrigstad FF's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Olof Thidén came free, but Olle Brandt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stig Gerdberg came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Vrigstad FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig Gerdberg couldn't finish the play. Harry Lind received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Olle Brandt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Arvika BK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Thidén. Pontus Uggstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Östen Alfors in the 27th minute of the match. When Vrigstad FF's Östen Alfors in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arvika BK's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Arne Johnsson during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sven-Arne Johnsson hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Stig Gerdberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pontus Uggstedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig Gerdberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Östen Alfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Olof Thidén stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vrigstad FF's Olle Brandt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Olof Thidén in the 53rd minute of play. Olle Brandt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Olof Thidén went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the game, Sven-Olof Thidén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Olle Brandt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Stig Gerdberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vrigstad FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig Gerdberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pontus Uggstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Vrigstad FF defense, Sven-Olof Thidén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olle Brandt. The Vrigstad FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olle Brandt should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Lind in the 74th minute of play forced Vrigstad FF's goalkeeper Olle Brandt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harry Lind fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olle Brandt having to interfere. Olle Brandt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Olof Thidén in the 83rd minute of play. Olle Brandt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Olof Thidén went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 91 minutes of play, Arvika BK's Harry Lind made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olle Brandt was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arvika BK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vrigstad FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
