In the 43rdth minute of the game Villiam Brask who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sandöverken's Jack Håkansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sandöverken's zone, Bertil Östman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Håkansson came out of the goal and Bertil Östman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Hannes Olenberg made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Gunnar Jelm sped through Olofström's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of John Lindkvist. The audience was convinced that Jim Gustafsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jack Håkansson was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Bertil Östmans short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Jack Håkansson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jim Gustafsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jack Håkansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play.
