Nymölla RK's Pontus Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agne Arhenius in the 8th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Sten Wassenius took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pontus Arvidsson to make any attempt to save it. In the 15th minute of the match, Sten Wassenius tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pontus Arvidsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pontus Arvidsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 16th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Nils-Erik Siggman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Pontus Arvidsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Wassenius in the 38th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Frans Biörkman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammarby IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frans Biörkman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils-Erik Siggman to make the kick off. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hammarby IF fully deserved thier win.
