Peder Ånger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim Gustavsson in the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Fc Malmö booed when Föllinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Erik Malm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrik Vallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Malm in the 7th minute of play. Örjan Ahlbeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Vallin having to interfere. Henrik Mickelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Föllinge's Jan-Erik Malm got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 15th match minute, Föllinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Erik Malm to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Peder Ånger managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Fc Malmö's Oscar Cabral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Filiph Byström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Peder Ånger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Föllinge's Peder Ånger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Föllinge from getting a goal against them. Jan-Erik Malm hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Peder Ånger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karadeniz Ganim in the 36th minute of play. Oscar Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute Jan-Erik Malm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Vallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peder Ånger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Sjögren, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Örjan Ahlbeck to make the kick off. In the 65thth minute of the game Oscar Cabral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Föllinge's Peder Ånger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Cabral in the 67th minute of play forced Föllinge's goalkeeper Peder Ånger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Örjan Ahlbeck, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 69 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Patrik Vallin was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Peder Ånger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 84th minute, Federico Ciccarelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peder Ånger was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Föllinge's Peder Ånger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Rolfsson in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Oscar Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peder Ånger was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Johannes Hjeltman hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Oscar Cabral scored 4-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peder Ånger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Föllinge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
