The referee ignored Grändborn's protests and gave Rutger Lövskog a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Grändborn got a freekick which was hit by Rutger Lövskog. After 9 played minutes Grändborn got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Browald. 13 minutes into the match, Fredric Kellman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karl-Johan Tham. Västerfärnebo RK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fredric Kellman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 16thth minute of the game Fredric Kellman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Västerfärnebo RK's Karl-Johan Tham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Västerfärnebo RK's Karl-Johan Tham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Kellman in the 20th minute of play. Karl-Johan Tham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Kellman in the 21st minute of play. Yngve Bergman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fredric Kellman in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Johan Tham saved Västerfärnebo RK from getting behind. Karl-Johan Tham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Lövskog, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 28 played minutes Grändborn got a freekick which was hit by Robert Dalberg. After 29 played minutes Västerfärnebo RK got a freekick which was hit by Pål Hansson. Fredric Kellman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Grändborn's Fredric Kellman in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Västerfärnebo RK's goalie prevented a goal. When Tobias Sjö fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Karl-Johan Tham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grändborn. In the 35th minute, Ingmar Holmgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Johan Tham was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 37 played minutes Grändborn got a freekick which was hit by Robert Dalberg. Pål Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Johan Tham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fredric Kellman's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yngve Bergman to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl-Johan Tham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Kellman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingmar Holmgren had several of the Västerfärnebo RK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Karl-Johan Tham as he didn't even see the shot coming. Västerfärnebo RK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fredric Kellman 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. During the 74th minute of the match Tobias Sjö completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tobias Sjö a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 74 played minutes Västerfärnebo RK got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Sjö. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Fredric Kellman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grändborn's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredric Kellman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Johan Tham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fredric Kellman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karl-Johan Tham came out and tried to block the shot, but Fredric Kellman slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 78th minute. Karl-Johan Tham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Kellman in the 81st minute of play. Fredric Kellman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Karl-Johan Tham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Grändborn's Ingmar Holmgren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Karl-Johan Tham. That made the score 0-8 after 89 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredric Kellman in the 93rd minute of play forced Västerfärnebo RK's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Tham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Johan Tham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fredric Kellman's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. After a long run with the ball, Yngve Bergman did a trick in the 97th minute in front of Grändborn's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-8. An impressive performance by Västerfärnebo RK's Yngve Bergman! The Västerfärnebo RK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Grändborn were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
