Jarl Frisk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lukas Asklöv read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Åsarp BF's Jarl Frisk got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Gunnar Sigfridsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With an all-out effort, Bredared FF's Gunnar Sigfridsson threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Håkan Gunnarsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 23 minutes, Håkan Gunnarsson made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Åsarp BF's Gunnar Sigfridsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 27th play minutes Ulf Kollberg shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Gunnar Sigfridsson and just under the crossbar into goal. Ulf Kollberg in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gunnar Sigfridsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ulf Kollberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gunnar Sigfridsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulf Kollberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Gunnar Sigfridsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Bredared FF's goal looked a bit too open when Börge Högström came free, but Lukas Asklöv reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulf Kollbergs short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Gunnar Sigfridsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarl Frisk in the 47th minute of play forced Bredared FF's goalkeeper Lukas Asklöv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Håkan Gunnarsson was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Åsarp BF getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jarl Galle hit a great ball. Håkan Gunnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 53 minutes, Eric Hansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsarp BF and the Bredared FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Åsarp BF getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Eric Hansson hit a great ball. Håkan Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gunnar Sigfridsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunnar Sigfridsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Kollberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Börge Högström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Jarl Frisk sped through Bredared FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lukas Asklöv. If Håkan Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Håkan Gunnarsson came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Bredared FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Håkan Gunnarsson couldn't finish the play. Håkan Gunnarsson took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gunnar Sigfridsson. Gunnar Sigfridsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. There was no doubt that Bredared FF were the better team. Bredared FF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
