The tension between the Örsundsbro and the Avesta FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kurt Hök was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Karl-Michael Gallin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avesta FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Michael Gallin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Örtlund received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christer Wallengren came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan Örtlund slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Jonas Boman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Sellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Örtlund took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christer Wallengren. Christer Wallengren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Örsundsbro's Magnus Westerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yngve Kinnman got free with Christer Wallengren in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Örsundsbro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lars Brask in the 41st minute. A nice corner shot did that Lars Brask got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christer Wallengren quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jan Örtlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Christer Wallengren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Billy Kjellman fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Örsundsbro's protests and gave Billy Kjellman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Avesta FK booed when Örsundsbro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Kjellman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Anthon Vesterberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonas Boman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After 53 minutes of play Örsundsbro's Lars Brask was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thanks to some nice moves Karl-Michael Gallin could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Jonas Boman however easily saved by the left post. 59 minutes into the match, Örsundsbro's goalkeeper Jonas Boman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunnar Sellberg. Yngve Kinnman charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yngve Kinnman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Örsundsbro getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Yngve Kinnman hit a great ball. Christer Wallengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yngve Kinnman in the 69th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nils-Åke Nordström during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
