In the 10th minute, Philip Hammarström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ralf Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greger Kihlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Jens-Ove Ekrot notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Stråtjära IFK's Wilhelm Rönn. Wilhelm Rönn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Breidablik FF defense, Carl Hedlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Lundgren. The Breidablik FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Lundgren should have stopped the shot. Ralf Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Törnkvist in the 28th minute of the match. Bengt-Åke Torstensson hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Ralf Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustav Ahlbeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Jens-Ove Ekrot sped through Stråtjära IFK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilhelm Rönn. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Greger Kihlberg made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Stråtjära IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Kennet Lövskog came free, but Wilhelm Rönn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Torstensson in the 53rd minute of play forced Stråtjära IFK's goalkeeper Wilhelm Rönn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Ludvig Tinglöf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Breidablik FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stråtjära IFK the free kick. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
