Bo Nordkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils-Erik Öberg's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. George Nord kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Villiam Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Nordkvist having to interfere. Nils-Erik Öberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bo Nordkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Villiam Karlsson scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bo Nordkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bo Nordkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils-Erik Öberg's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jörn Bäcklin to strike the kick off in the second half. Bo Nordkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Erik Öberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Santa Claus's Bo Nordkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save FC Santa Claus from getting a goal against them. Villiam Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Nordkvist having to interfere. FC Santa Claus's Bo Nordkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Erik Öberg in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the Värmlands Nysäter defense, Jörn Bäcklin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rickard Berg. The Värmlands Nysäter fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rickard Berg should have stopped the shot. When Leif Sandwall came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Värmlands Nysäter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Sandwall couldn't finish the play. If Villiam Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Erik Öberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Bo Nordkvist 76 minutes into the match. Rune Magnusson took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bo Nordkvist. Bo Nordkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 89th minute, Villiam Karlsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bo Nordkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. FC Santa Claus's Bo Nordkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Erik Öberg in the 93rd minute of play. Värmlands Nysäter's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
