Carl Bergfeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Holm in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Sture HIF's Boris Holm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carl Bergfeldt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Jörgen Lindberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sture HIF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Oskar Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pelle Björck, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 16 played minutes Sture HIF got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Oskar Harlén. Pelle Björcks short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Oskar Brander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pelle Björck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Wahlström in the 32nd minute of play forced Sture HIF's goalkeeper Oskar Brander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boris Holm in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Bergfeldt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oskar Brander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pelle Björck in the 40th minute. The supporters of Sture HIF booed when Squirtle Squad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Michael Knutsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Oskar Harlén hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Squirtle Squad's Helge Harlén got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half Sture HIF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Carl Bergfeldt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jörgen Lindberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Sture HIF's goal looked a bit too open when Pelle Björck came free, but Oskar Brander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Holmgren hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Squirtle Squad's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Lindberg came free, but Carl Bergfeldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boris Holm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Stefan Söderberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pelle Björck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Wahlström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oskar Brander having to make a save. Jörgen Lindberg struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Carl Bergfeldt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sture HIF. Squirtle Squad's Carl Bergfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Lindberg in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Karl-Michael Knutsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boris Holm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Carl Bergfeldt made a huge save. The Sture HIF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sture HIF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
