After taking down the ball on Rotebro IS's corner Thomas Christoffersson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Berke Kaim quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Torsten Eliasson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Berke Kaim to make any attempt to save it. After 13 minutes of play, Voxnabruk's Greger Hammarbäck made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frank Eliasson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute of the match Karl-Michael Norberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Eliasson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rotebro IS's Frank Eliasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Holmes in the 19th minute of play. Greger Hammarbäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jesper Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berke Kaim made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Adrian Svartengren sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Ryberg in the 32nd minute of play forced Voxnabruk's goalkeeper Berke Kaim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greger Hammarbäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Eliasson having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Rotebro IS got a freekick which was hit by Börje Gerdberg. Greger Hammarbäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Eliasson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Greger Hammarbäck ran back to his position shaking his head. When Torsten Eliasson fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rotebro IS's protests and gave Torsten Eliasson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rotebro IS's Torsten Eliasson got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Soned was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Frank Eliasson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jesper Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Eliasson having to interfere. Berke Kaim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Soned, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Jesper Bergqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Eliasson was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, Rotebro IS's goalkeeper Frank Eliasson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesper Bergqvist. Greger Hammarbäck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Eliasson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jesper Bergqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Eliasson was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
