Spectators: 6994 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sigvard Bark started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Sigvard Bark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halmstad BK the free kick. In the 4th minute, Kristian Bank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jim Pil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristian Bank's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. A collision led to Fors getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Per-Arne Bryngelsson hit a great ball. Jim Pil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristian Bank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22nd play minutes Per Söder shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Jim Pil and just under the crossbar into goal. Gert Andersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Bark, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Algot Jernberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jim Pil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anton Alebeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fors's Jim Pil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Bank in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Per Söder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Anton Alebeck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Halmstad BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Alebeck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Pil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gert Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigvard Bark in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Kristian Bank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Pil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Sigvard Bark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Andersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Fors booed when Halmstad BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Algot Jernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Halmstad BK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jim Pil was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kristian Bank showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. Kristian Bank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 66 minutes into the match, Per Dalman notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Halmstad BK's Gert Andersson. Gert Andersson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Fors's Sigvard Bark got a free kick in the 76th minute. Josef Jonasson hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Henry Skoog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Kristian Bank had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jim Pil. Fors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kristian Bank was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Kristian Bank charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristian Bank the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fors booed when Halmstad BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Bank didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Per Dalman came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Fors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Dalman couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, Fors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morgan Brandt to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Halmstad BK getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Kristian Bank hit a great ball. The Fors fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Halmstad BK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
