In the 4th minute Rickard Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ture Åkerström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gustaf Frisck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Platt Foot Boys booed when Carlshamns Kanoner was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Apelqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Johannes Sundén sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Carlshamns Kanoner's Bengt-Åke Tinglöv didn't even have to move. After some careless play in the Platt Foot Boys defense, Rickard Sundström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ture Åkerström. The Platt Foot Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ture Åkerström should have stopped the shot. Carlshamns Kanoner's Rickard Sundström suffered a fractured collar bone after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Sören Håkansson's late challenge caught a Carlshamns Kanoner's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sören Håkansson helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Bivall in the 24th minute of play forced Platt Foot Boys's goalkeeper Ture Åkerström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Frisck hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Jens-Erik Ånger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Carlshamns Kanoner's Inge Sikström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ture Åkerström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ture Åkerström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Sikström in the 38th minute of play. Jonny Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Åkerström having to interfere. When Inge Sikström came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Carlshamns Kanoner fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inge Sikström couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Inge Sikström made a kick off. If Inge Sikström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58thth minute of the game Inge Sikström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Platt Foot Boys's Ture Åkerström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Inge Sikström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ture Åkerström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Inge Sikström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Platt Foot Boys getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Johannes Sundén hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Rudolf Myhr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Inge Sikström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Åkerström having to interfere. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Platt Foot Boys's goalkeeper Ture Åkerström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Inge Sikström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Ture Åkerström managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Carlshamns Kanoner's Inge Sikström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Platt Foot Boys's Ture Åkerström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Platt Foot Boys from getting a goal against them. After having played for 89 minutes, Inge Sikström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carlshamns Kanoner's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inge Sikström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inge Sikström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd match minute, Platt Foot Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sören Håkansson to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Rudolf Myhr from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Ture Åkerström's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 97th minute, one of Platt Foot Boys:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Platt Foot Boys.
