If Alfredo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bird Is The Word's Per-Oskar Sander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Maia in the 15th minute of play. Fahri Serhun made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sixten Västlund immediately put the ball in play. Per-Oskar Sander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Ekegren in the 22nd minute of play. Fahri Serhun kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Kjell Ekegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Oskar Sander having to interfere. In the 40th minute Chukwufumnanya Ifakachukwu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Oskar Sander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Oskar Sander came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Södra Tall's Alfredo Maia. But to his dismay, Alfredo Maia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Maia made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Alfredo Maia could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Per-Oskar Sander however easily saved by the left post. In the 53rd match minute, Bird Is The Word was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Mårtensson to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes Bird Is The Word got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Olof Beck. Fahri Serhun hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Emanuel Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Torheim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Södra Tall's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roger Örtlund was slow to take the kick. During this time Bird Is The Word's players had a chance to rest. Bird Is The Word's Roger Örtlund was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emanuel Mårtensson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 81st match minute, Södra Tall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fahri Serhun to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute Alfredo Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Oskar Sander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Torheim's late challenge caught a Södra Tall's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Torheim helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Bird Is The Word got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Torheim. When Alfredo Maia came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Södra Tall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Maia couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Kjell Ekegren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Södra Tall played a much better game than Bird Is The Word and deserved their victory. The Bird Is The Word players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
