Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lars Pilberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Tord Odeen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lenhovda's Kurt Jernberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurt Jernberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Odeen in the 6th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Pontus Linberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pontus Linberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute Lars Pilberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Hääger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Hellkvist during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 24 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's Krister Berggren broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Sixten Fransson's late challenge caught a Lenhovda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sixten Fransson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 49th minute, Sixten Fransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Tord Odeen made the kick off in the second half. Mattias Hääger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Dahlgren in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray's zone, Peter Hellkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Hääger came out of the goal and Peter Hellkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pontus Linberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pontus Linberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Jernberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mattias Hääger came out of the goal and Nils Dahlgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin Tingelholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Hääger having to interfere. After having played for 88 minutes, Pontus Linberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pontus Linberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Kevin Tingelholm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lars Pilberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Galatasaray eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
