Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sandhult IFK's Ian Joensson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Mithrandirs Youth Academy booed when Sandhult IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Strömqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell Dahlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. If Bertil Månsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Malmgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Lars Strömqvist made a huge save. Orvar Hansson hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sandhult IFK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mithrandirs Youth Academy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
