In the 5th minute, one of Sunnersta AIF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sunnersta AIF. Sunnersta AIF:s Baltazar Guimarães showed great skill when he stopped Jonas Tham:s penalty. After 10 minutes of play, Sandhult IFK's Kim Melander made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baltazar Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Markus Visnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Strömqvist having to interfere. In the 19th minute Ian Joensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltazar Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Joensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Markus Visnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Strömqvist having to interfere. If Alexander Bocklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandhult IFK's Lars Strömqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Visnes in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Markus Visnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Markus Visnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lars Strömqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Sandhult IFK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Sandhult IFK's Mattias Åberg got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Sunnersta AIF's Hannes Johnsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sandhult IFK. Markus Visnes might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Strömqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Markus Visnes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute, Markus Visnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Sandhult IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Melander to maneuver through the defense. Markus Visnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Strömqvist having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Visnes in the 71st minute of play forced Sandhult IFK's goalkeeper Lars Strömqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Hannes Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunnersta AIF's supporters rose to their feet, but Hannes Johnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Strömqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baltazar Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Joensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Visnes in the 81st minute of play forced Sandhult IFK's goalkeeper Lars Strömqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sunnersta AIF's Martin Blom got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Markus Visnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Strömqvist having to interfere. Hannes Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sunnersta AIF's Sebastian Säv got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandhult IFK's goalkeeper Lars Strömqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Sunnersta AIF lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
