LAIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Odeen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Börge Classon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, Johan Fagerberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Lundqvist. LAIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johan Fagerberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. LAIK's Alex Lundqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save LAIK from getting a goal against them. Johan Fagerberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Alex Lundqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Fagerberg couldn't finish the play. Johan Fagerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Lundqvist having to interfere. In the 84th minute Johan Fagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marek Roovik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Lundqvist was relentless in the 85th minute of the game.
