Spectators: 6648 (Terracing: 5458, Seating: 1150, VIP seats: 40) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stefan Stenkvist started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Riddarhyttan IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvald Asmundsson to maneuver through the defense. Walter Tinglöv hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Osvald Asmundsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Stellan Sandberg made a huge save. Järpen IF's Stellan Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngve Andersson in the 13th minute of play. Yngve Anderssons short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Stellan Sandberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Yngve Andersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Stellan Sandberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Stefan Stenkvist put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jan-Olof Kihlberg. With a little luck, Järpen IF's Stellan Sandberg got control of the ball when Yngve Andersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Olof Kihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Stenkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Stefan Stenkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Kihlberg having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Yngve Andersson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Järpen IF's Stellan Sandberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Yngve Andersson sped through Järpen IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stellan Sandberg. Stellan Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvald Asmundsson in the 64th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Adam Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riddarhyttan IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Lindberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stellan Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 68th play minutes Yngve Andersson shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Stellan Sandberg and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Riddarhyttan IK booed when Järpen IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaj Magnusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Stenkvist in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Olof Kihlberg saved Riddarhyttan IK from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Järpen IF's zone, Walter Tinglöv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stellan Sandberg came out of the goal and Walter Tinglöv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Jan-Olof Kihlberg managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Järpen IF's Stefan Stenkvist fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adam Lindberg kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
