The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mikael Brun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Åke Bratt having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Joakim Hedlund made a precise shot to the right of Jens-Åke Bratt. IFK Fågelbo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jens-Åke Bratt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens-Ove Gadd went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Jens-Åke Bratt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Hedlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Joakim Hedlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens-Åke Bratt was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Fågelbo's zone, Gunnar Olsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Åke Bratt came out of the goal and Gunnar Olsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 18 minutes of play, Riksgränsen FK's Joakim Hedlund made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jens-Åke Bratt was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of IFK Fågelbo booed when Riksgränsen FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Riksgränsen FK's zone, Andy Boklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Armando Arriaran came out of the goal and Andy Boklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jens-Åke Bratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Hedlund in the 31st minute of play. In the 48th minute Joakim Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Bratt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens-Ove Fors stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anders Odman hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Viktor Sandström kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Joakim Hedlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Jens-Åke Bratt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Fors in the 58th minute of play forced Riksgränsen FK's goalkeeper Diego Armando Arriaran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Raul Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riksgränsen FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Raul Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Åke Bratt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens-Ove Gadd struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Jens-Åke Bratt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riksgränsen FK. With a little luck, IFK Fågelbo's Jens-Åke Bratt got control of the ball when Gunnar Olsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Riksgränsen FK's Joakim Hedlund made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. IFK Fågelbo's Jens-Åke Bratt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Hedlund in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute of the match Riksgränsen FK got a corner. IFK Fågelbo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joakim Hedlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 89th match minute, Riksgränsen FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anders Odman to maneuver through the defense. Jack Åström hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Gunnar Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riksgränsen FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Olsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The IFK Fågelbo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Riksgränsen FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
