In the 19th minute Börje Grubb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ola Odeen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ola Odeen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Mossberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Sala's Henry Jonsson got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ola Odeen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Grubb in the 29th minute of the match. Börje Grubb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ola Odeen having to interfere. RAUX IMT FC's Ola Odeen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Stålberg in the 39th minute of play. After some careless play in the RAUX IMT FC defense, Börje Grubb kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ola Odeen. The RAUX IMT FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ola Odeen should have stopped the shot. After the first half Sala were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Berg during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 53rd minute of the match Henry Falkrans sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elof Browall skillfully saved the ball. Börje Grubb took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ola Odeen. Ola Odeen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. When Östen Hansson came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the RAUX IMT FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Östen Hansson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in RAUX IMT FC's zone, Börje Grubb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ola Odeen came out of the goal and Börje Grubb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ola Odeen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henry Jonsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 67 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Börje Grubb got free with Ola Odeen in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute Östen Hansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elof Browall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börje Grubb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ola Odeen having to interfere. Ola Odeen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Jonsson in the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Allan Stålberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Stålberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Börje Grubb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ola Odeen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Mossberg in the 89th minute of play forced RAUX IMT FC's goalkeeper Ola Odeen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ola Odeen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alf Mossberg in the 93rd minute of play. Börje Grubb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alf Mossberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ola Odeen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Börje Grubb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sala's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
