Edvard Salqvist hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Hubert Mager showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Ahlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Edvard Salqvist got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience was convinced that Viktor Ahlberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Mager was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Kjell Kihlman made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Stefan Lind sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Tunnebro AIK's zone, Edvard Salqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell Kihlman came out of the goal and Edvard Salqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kjell Kihlman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvard Salqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edvard Salqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Kihlman having to interfere. After 45 played minutes, Upplands Väsby's Johan Tolsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kjell Kihlman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Upplands Väsby reached it. Tim Lilja blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hubert Mager having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tim Lilja made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Tunnebro AIK's Viktor Ahlberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hubert Mager. Hubert Mager yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Edvard Salqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell Kihlman having to interfere. Verner Hellström hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Hubert Mager showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Lilja in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Upplands Väsby booed when Tunnebro AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egil Carlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Stefan Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Arne Rudkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Sture Hjälm charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sture Hjälm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Arne Rudkvist couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Lilja in the 96th minute of play forced Upplands Väsby's goalkeeper Hubert Mager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
