After a defensive mix-up in Göteborg City FF's zone, Mattias Lagerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patric Trillkott came out of the goal and Mattias Lagerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Lagerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patric Granberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patric Trillkott. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patric Granberg ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Patric Trillkott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Granberg in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Tobias Ferm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patric Granberg in the 74th minute of play forced Göteborg City FF's goalkeeper Patric Trillkott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 78th minute of the match Tobias Ferm completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tobias Ferm a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
