Kasper Västerberg made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Carl Flink sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Göteborgs United booed when Långsele FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Lindqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Långsele FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ingvar Skräddare should have stopped the shot. Joseph Thidén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ingvar Skräddare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Ljungberg in the 43rd minute of play forced Långsele FF's goalkeeper Ingvar Skräddare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Victor Vallman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Långsele FF's goal looked a bit too open when Isac Ljungberg came free, but Ingvar Skräddare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Långsele FF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Göteborgs United were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isac Ljungberg made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Stig Blom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasper Västerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Långsele FF's Ingvar Skräddare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Ljungberg in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Långsele FF's goalkeeper Ingvar Skräddare had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Oosting. Ingvar Skräddare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Ljungberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Oosting took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ingvar Skräddare. Ingvar Skräddare dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. If Stig Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Blom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasper Västerberg having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Göteborgs United's Isac Ljungberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. 87 minutes into the game, Joseph Thidén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Ingvar Skräddare was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, Isac Ljungberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ingvar Skräddare, 0-8. Göteborgs United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
