Stefan Westerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Berggren in the 9th minute of the match. Manfred Berggren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Stefan Westerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute Manfred Berggren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute Jonny Vase shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Hedin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hoting IF getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jonny Vase hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Sixto Benat notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Linneryd's Alexander Hedin. Alexander Hedin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jonny Vase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Manfred Berggren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Jonny Vase made the kick off in the second half. Christoffer Wall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Hedin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Alexander Hedin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Månsson in the 92nd minute of play. There was no doubt that Hoting IF were the better team. Hoting IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
