After a defensive mix-up in Nävlinge's zone, Roger Mårtensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Albom came out of the goal and Roger Mårtensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dylan Finn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ričardas Laužikas struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Birger Albom was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Peter Svensson. Ričardas Laužikas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Enström in the 40th minute of play forced FC Solhemspojkarna's goalkeeper Ingemar Klint to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Johan Enström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute, Johan Enström made a precise shot to the right of Ingemar Klint. FC Solhemspojkarna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 56 played minutes, FC Solhemspojkarna's Peter Svensson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Birger Albom came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Solhemspojkarna reached it. Egil Deckbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Johan Enström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nävlinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Johan Enström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingemar Klint breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Nävlinge had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
