The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, 202020 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Backlund to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, 202020's goal looked a bit too open when Melker Lund came free, but Dag Magnusson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Melker Lund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Skarkman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Backlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 played minutes 202020 got a freekick which was hit by Richard Backlund. Dag Magnusson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olof Stenqvist went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Melker Lund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dag Magnusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melker Lund in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Melker Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Melker Lund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dag Magnusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kjell-Arne Strandberg hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Melker Lund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dag Magnusson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute of the game, Patric Biörkquist landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. In the 43rd minute, Olof Stenqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melker Lund made a kick off. Ingvar Skarkman came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by 202020's Richard Backlund. But to his dismay, Richard Backlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Dag Magnusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melker Lund in the 61st minute of the match. After 64 played minutes Liverpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Niclas Gregersson. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool FC's zone, Richard Backlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingvar Skarkman came out of the goal and Richard Backlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johan Blomqvist struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ingvar Skarkman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 202020. When Richard Backlund came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the 202020 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Backlund couldn't finish the play. Richard Backlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Skarkman having to interfere. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Ingvar Skarkman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olof Stenqvist took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dag Magnusson. Dag Magnusson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Olof Stenqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Olov Vinström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ingvar Skarkman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. During the 92nd minute of the match Olof Stenqvist completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Olof Stenqvist a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 93rd minute, Olof Stenqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 202020's Richard Backlund got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Liverpool FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
