FC Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kil the free kick. Gottfrid Askstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Algot Strömqvist came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Kil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Algot Strömqvist couldn't finish the play. Bo Hedvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Martinsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Algot Strömqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Michael Påk came out of the goal and Algot Strömqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When FC Barcelona's Kjell Martinsson in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kil's goalie prevented a goal. After 25 played minutes Kjell Martinsson rounded Kil's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Kjell Martinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tage Torsberg hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Harry Dahlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barcelona's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Dahlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bo Hedvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Kjell Martinsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bo Hedvall. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 39th minute, Maximilian Billock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Dahlberg got free with Bo Hedvall in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Algot Strömqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harry Dahlberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Bo Hedvall when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 45th match minute, Kil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per Nyqvist to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Kil's Bo Hedvall got control of the ball when Harry Dahlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Algot Strömqvist made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Harry Dahlberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bo Hedvall was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 57th minute Kjell Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Hedvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harry Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kil's zone, Kjell Martinsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Hedvall came out of the goal and Kjell Martinsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute of the match, Christer Billing got a very nice opportunity to score, but Karl-Michael Påk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Harry Dahlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Hedvall having to interfere. In the 70th minute Kjell Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Hedvall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harry Dahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bo Hedvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Kjell Martinsson made a precise shot to the right of Bo Hedvall. Kil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Harry Dahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bo Hedvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Dahlberg in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bo Hedvall saved Kil from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, Kil's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Martinsson came free, but Bo Hedvall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Barcelona walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
