In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gökböle BK's goalkeeper Matthias Gregersson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9thth minute of the game Vilhelm Hääger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kil's Bo Hedvall was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bo Hedvall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Hääger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Kil's Tage Torsberg got a free kick in the 13th minute. Vilhelm Hääger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kil's zone, Jan Harman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bo Hedvall came out of the goal and Jan Harman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Vilhelm Hääger made a precise shot to the right of Bo Hedvall. Kil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 24th minute, Jan Ekeroth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vilhelm Hääger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 minutes of play, Kil's Ove Wahlnäs made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matthias Gregersson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gökböle BK's Matthias Gregersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Wahlnäs in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After some careless play in the Gökböle BK defense, Algot Strömqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matthias Gregersson. The Gökböle BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthias Gregersson should have stopped the shot. When Vilhelm Hääger came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Gökböle BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilhelm Hääger couldn't finish the play. Tage Torsberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Gökböle BK booed when Kil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tage Torsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kil's Bo Hedvall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Kil from getting a goal against them. If Sven-Oskar Willig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Harman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Kil's goalkeeper Bo Hedvall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Harman. After 88 played minutes Gökböle BK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Oskar Willig. After a rather tough play, Gökböle BK's Vilhelm Hääger got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Algot Strömqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Nyqvist in the 94th minute of play forced Gökböle BK's goalkeeper Matthias Gregersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kil had won after a very even match.
