In the 8th minute of the match Herman Bryngelsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hubert Sjöberg skillfully saved the ball. Laurentii Athletic's Karl-Axel Sundling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Strömqvist in the 15th minute of play. Sigvard Wallin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Axel Sundling read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Sigvard Wallin made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Axel Sundling. Laurentii Athletic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a little luck, Linneryd IK's Hubert Sjöberg got control of the ball when Stig-Arne Ahlquist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hubert Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Täman, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Hubert Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Täman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Linneryd IK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Fabian Täman scored to the left of an out of position Hubert Sjöberg, making the score, 1-1. In the 38th match minute, Laurentii Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Askestät to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 43 minutes, Leo Strömqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linneryd IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Strömqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Linneryd IK's goalkeeper Hubert Sjöberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stig-Arne Ahlquist. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 played minutes Linneryd IK got a freekick which was hit by Leo Strömqvist. Hubert Sjöberg came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Laurentii Athletic's Fabian Täman. But to his dismay, Fabian Täman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hubert Sjöberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Täman in the 61st minute of play. 3-1 became the score in the 63rd minute when Fabian Täman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Karl-Axel Sundling made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Sigvard Wallin sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute, Hampus Nyberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Laurentii Athletic's Stig-Arne Ahlquist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hubert Sjöberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karl-Axel Sundling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Strömqvist in the 77th minute of the match.
