After having played for 27 minutes, Kristian Kellman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lerum IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Kellman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rickard Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Strömqvist in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Linneryd IK's goalkeeper Hubert Sjöberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristian Kellman. In the 45th minute, Erik Björklund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Strömqvist was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Erik Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Sjöberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 minutes, Erik Björklund made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Linneryd IK's Hubert Sjöberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Strömqvist in the 61st minute of play forced Lerum IFK's goalkeeper Rickard Norberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linneryd IK's Sigvard Wallin got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sigvard Wallin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Rickard Norberg made a huge save. When Sigvard Wallin came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Linneryd IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigvard Wallin couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Skröder during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lerum IFK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Linneryd IK for a fine match.
