After a rather tough play, Södertälje SK's Osvald Lundgren got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute, Sigvard Wallin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Paulin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 16 played minutes Linneryd IK got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Browald. 21 minutes into the game, Sigvard Wallin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tony Paulin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Inge Fernkvist fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linneryd IK's protests and gave Inge Fernkvist a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Linneryd IK's Inge Fernkvist got a free kick in the 26th minute. Hubert Sjöberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Apelquist in the 32nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Leo Strömqvist took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Tony Paulin to make any attempt to save it. 35 minutes into the game, Arman Flinck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linneryd IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Södertälje SK the free kick. Arman Flinck hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Sigvard Wallin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The supporters of Linneryd IK booed when Södertälje SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Nordström didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Strömqvist in the 55th minute of play forced Södertälje SK's goalkeeper Tony Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Linneryd IK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Arman Flinck hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Södertälje SK got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Ingemarsson. After 60 played minutes, Linneryd IK's Hampus Nyberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tony Paulin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Linneryd IK reached it. Osvald Lundgren hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Peter Apelquist struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Hubert Sjöberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Södertälje SK. 65 minutes into the match, Linneryd IK's goalkeeper Hubert Sjöberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvald Lundgren. Tony Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigvard Wallin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Linneryd IK's Hubert Sjöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Apelquist in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Linneryd IK's zone, Peter Apelquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hubert Sjöberg came out of the goal and Peter Apelquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Osvald Lundgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Södertälje SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvald Lundgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Södertälje SK's Hubert Sjöberg threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Peter Apelquist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Peter Apelquist succeeded in the game's 81st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. In the 91stth minute of the game Peter Apelquist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linneryd IK's Hubert Sjöberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Södertälje SK's Osvald Lundgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Apelquist in the 97th minute of play forced Linneryd IK's goalkeeper Hubert Sjöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linneryd IK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Södertälje SK for a fine match.
