In the 6th match minute, Österfärnebo IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thor Alströmmer to maneuver through the defense. Erik Björklund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roland Bergström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Kristian Kellman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 16 minutes into the match, Lerum IFK's Erik Björklund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roland Bergström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Österfärnebo IK's Roland Bergström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Björklund in the 17th minute of play. Erik Björklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Roland Bergström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Dag Brun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Österfärnebo IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lerum IFK the free kick. After 20 played minutes Österfärnebo IK got a freekick which was hit by Dag Brun. 21 minutes in the game, Kristian Kellman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roland Bergström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Björklund in the 24th minute of play forced Österfärnebo IK's goalkeeper Roland Bergström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rickard Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max Hök, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 27th match minute, Lerum IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conny Almkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Bror Klintæus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Norberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristian Kellman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Roland Bergström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Österfärnebo IK's Max Hök got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rickard Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bror Klintæus, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Kristian Kellman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Roland Bergström made a huge save. If Kristian Kellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Kellman in the 56th minute of play forced Österfärnebo IK's goalkeeper Roland Bergström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Salkvist's late challenge caught a Lerum IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Salkvist helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Österfärnebo IK getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Elias Salkvist hit a great ball. Kristian Kellman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Roland Bergström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dag Brun kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Erik Björklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lerum IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Björklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Max Hök received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rickard Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bror Klintæus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Norberg having to interfere. Bror Klintæus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rickard Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rickard Norberg made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Bror Klintæus sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Elias Salkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Max Hök got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
