In the 12th minute, Evert Lundström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Jansson in the 13th minute of play forced Sigtuna IF's goalkeeper Bengt Josefsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Hägg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Josefsson having to interfere. Bengt Josefsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evert Lundström in the 17th minute. Elias Lindqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Krister Vik went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Bengt Josefsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of News for you FC booed when Sigtuna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dag Asmundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sigtuna IF's zone, Evert Lundström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Josefsson came out of the goal and Evert Lundström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Krister Vik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Lindqvist having to interfere. Åke Kilström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elias Lindqvist. News for you FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gustav Nyberg kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Karl Karlsson missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 39 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Elias Lindqvist right hand side. Evert Lundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Josefsson having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nils Jansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt Josefsson was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Elias Lindqvist came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Sigtuna IF's Christopher Löfdahl. But to his dismay, Christopher Löfdahl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Nils Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Josefsson having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Evert Lundström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils Jansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bengt Josefsson having to make a save. Stefan Dahlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute of the match News for you FC got a corner. Sigtuna IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gunnar Hellsing ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bengt Josefsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Krister Vik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sigtuna IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Krister Vik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christopher Löfdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
