Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mårten Kielstedt took the kick off in the first half of the match. Riverside's Jan-Erik Möllgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Riverside from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute, Benjamin Fernkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Riverside's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Möllgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hampus Svensson. After having played for 12 minutes, Erland Östensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ljungby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erland Östensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erland Östensson in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Erik Möllgren saved Riverside from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Riverside's Benjamin Fernkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sune Boström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vidar Danielsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan-Erik Möllgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mårten Kielstedt in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Mårten Kielstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Erik Möllgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Emil Pihlberg fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riverside's protests and gave Emil Pihlberg a yellow card for diving instead. Emil Pihlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Mårten Kielstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Erik Möllgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erland Östensson's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Erland Östensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jan-Erik Möllgren made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erland Östensson got free with Jan-Erik Möllgren in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mårten Kielstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erland Östensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Möllgren having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benjamin Fernkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Mårten Kielstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Erik Möllgren was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Ljungby's goalkeeper Sune Boström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vidar Danielsson. Erland Östensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vidar Danielsson made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 64thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Sune Boström would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Jan-Erik Möllgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mårten Kielstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Benjamin Fernkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sune Boström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Fernkvist in the 69th minute of play. Jan-Erik Möllgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erland Östensson in the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Falk in the 75th minute of play forced Riverside's goalkeeper Jan-Erik Möllgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erland Östensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mårten Kielstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute.
