Philip Forss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Nyström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Bertil Mellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Forss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lainio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Bo-Erik Kilström scored to the left of an out of position Patrick Åkerström, making the score, 2-0. Vera FC's Philip Forss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Nyström in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Jörgen Harlén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jörgen Harlén struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Patrick Åkerström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vera FC. Patrick Åkerström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo-Erik Kilström in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bo-Erik Kilström made a kick off. Patrick Åkerström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo-Erik Kilström's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 81st match minute, Vera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgny Modig to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Vera FC's goalkeeper Philip Forss had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bertil Mellberg. Bo-Erik Kilström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Åkerström having to interfere. Vera FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
