Michael Smed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Gunnar Östlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uno Spetz's late challenge caught a Saxdalen FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uno Spetz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Saxdalen FK booed when Österfärnebo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uno Spetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edvin Benett came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Saxdalen FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvin Benett couldn't finish the play. Michael Smed blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gunnar Östlund having to make a save. Esbjörn Felin succeeded in the game's 47th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esbjörn Felin to make the kick off.
