Arman Linqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mårten Giliusson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Ambjörnsson in the 18th minute of play forced Gimo IF's goalkeeper Stig-Åke Västerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gimo IF's Stig-Åke Västerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Ambjörnsson in the 35th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Aleksander Wennerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Birger Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mellbystrand SK's Mårten Giliusson got control of the ball when Emil Alrot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arman Linqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mellbystrand SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arman Linqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 94 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand SK's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Alrot came free, but Mårten Giliusson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gimo IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mellbystrand SK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
