Jonathan Hansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Eriksson in the 14th minute of play forced Uppsala BK's goalkeeper Jonathan Hansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfred Bergfelt's late challenge caught a Uppsala BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manfred Bergfelt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, Vittån IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfred Bergfelt to maneuver through the defense. Joacim Fransson, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. In the 33rd minute, Bengt-Rune Eriksson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Hansson. The goal made the score 2-0. 37 minutes into the match, Uppsala BK's goalkeeper Jonathan Hansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Lövskog. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fritz Ahlstedt was the one to do the kick off. After 59 played minutes, Vittån IF's Evert Godholm shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Hansson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vittån IF reached it. Bengt-Rune Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Uppsala BK's Jonathan Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Lövskog in the 71st minute of play. Ove Grönlund had several of the Vittån IF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Wictor Nordström as he didn't even see the shot coming. Magne Deckberg lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Wictor Nordström had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Joacim Fransson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jonathan Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Lövskog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Bergfelt in the 84th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Uppsala BK defense, Manfred Bergfelt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Hansson. The Uppsala BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Hansson should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Salkvist during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uppsala BK booed when Vittån IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Salkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joacim Fransson struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Wictor Nordström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uppsala BK. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vittån IF had won after a very even match.
