Sture Söder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Ivarsson having to interfere. Sture Söder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Vennersten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Knivsta United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Christian Vennersten scored to the left of an out of position Jan-Olof Rudqvist, making the score, 1-0. Ted Wennerlund kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Folke Lönn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knivsta United's supporters rose to their feet, but Folke Lönn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Ivarsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Rudqvist having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sture Söder in the 41st minute of play forced Stehags FF's goalkeeper Roland Ivarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Knivsta United were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Stehags FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Allan Kruuse took the corner. Knivsta United's Allan Kruuse was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roland Ivarsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 46 played minutes, Knivsta United's Allan Kruuse shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roland Ivarsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Knivsta United reached it. If Sture Söder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folke Lönn to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Folke Lönn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sture Söder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute of the match Allan Kruuse sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roland Ivarsson skillfully saved the ball. Roland Ivarsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valentin Hamberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 64 minute of play. Roland Ivarsson made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Sture Söder sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jörn Odén during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Stehags FF getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jörn Odén hit a great ball. Valentin Hamberg kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Stehags FF's Kenneth Persson tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Roland Ivarsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kenneth Persson's late challenge caught a Knivsta United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Persson helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stehags FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! 94 minutes into the game, Knivsta United's Sture Söder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roland Ivarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The Stehags FF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Knivsta United's performance. The match ended with a win for Knivsta United.
